Refund & Return Policy

At The Delightful Dabbler LLC, doing business as Outlier Laser Engraving ("Outlier Laser Engraving," "we," "us," or "our"), we take pride in creating high-quality, custom-made products. Because most of our items are personalized specifically for each customer, our return and refund policy differs from that of retailers selling mass-produced products.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

Custom & Personalized Items

Due to the personalized nature of our products, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for custom or personalized items except in cases where the item arrives damaged or contains a verified manufacturing defect.

Custom orders include, but are not limited to:

  • Personalized gifts

  • Custom laser engraving

  • Engraved drinkware

  • Business signage

  • Custom ornaments

  • Personalized cutting boards

  • Custom home décor

  • Items engraved with customer-provided names, dates, logos, artwork, or photographs

Order Accuracy

Customers are responsible for reviewing all information submitted with their order, including:

  • Spelling

  • Names

  • Dates

  • Personalization

  • Addresses

  • Uploaded artwork

  • Logos

  • Design selections

If a digital proof is provided, approval of that proof confirms that all information is correct.

Once production begins, orders cannot be changed or canceled.

We are not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information submitted or approved by the customer.

Manufacturing Defects & Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged or contains a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery.

To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs of the product

  • Photographs of the shipping packaging if damage occurred during transit

After reviewing your claim, we may, at our sole discretion:

  • Repair the item

  • Replace the item

  • Provide a partial or full refund

  • Offer another reasonable resolution

Claims submitted more than 7 calendar days after delivery may not be eligible for resolution.

Natural Material Variations

Many of our products are made from natural materials such as wood, slate, leather, bamboo, acrylic, and metal.

Because every piece is unique, natural variations may occur, including:

  • Wood grain

  • Knots

  • Color differences

  • Texture

  • Engraving depth

  • Burn marks

  • Finish variations

These natural characteristics are expected and are not considered defects.

Color & Screen Variations

Actual product colors may vary slightly from what appears on your computer monitor, phone, or tablet due to differences in screen settings, lighting, and photography.

These variations are not grounds for a refund or replacement.

Shipping Delays

Once your order has been shipped, delivery times are the responsibility of the shipping carrier.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • USPS

  • UPS

  • FedEx

  • Weather

  • Customs

  • Carrier disruptions

  • Other events beyond our control

Shipping delays do not qualify for refunds.

Incorrect Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

We are not responsible for orders delayed, returned, or lost due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided during checkout.

Additional shipping charges may apply if an order must be reshipped.

Lost Packages

If tracking indicates that your package was delivered but you cannot locate it, please:

  1. Verify your shipping address.

  2. Check with household members or neighbors.

  3. Contact the shipping carrier.

If additional assistance is needed, we will gladly help you initiate a carrier inquiry; however, we cannot guarantee replacement or reimbursement for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier.

Order Cancellations

Because production often begins shortly after an order is placed, cancellation requests cannot be guaranteed.

If production has already started, the order cannot be canceled.
